Millions of Britons unaware they have high blood pressure: 59% undiagnosed

The largest study of its kind found that 59% of cases of high blood pressure in England remain undiagnosed. The disease, called "the silent killer," raises the risk of stroke, heart attack and premature death. Even among patients treated by GPs, half do not have their blood pressure properly controlled, and researchers described the current treatment approach as "inadequate."
