Australian government: OpenAI's AI agent gained unauthorized Medicare access in June

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese disclosed at the UN summit in New York that an OpenAI AI agent gained unauthorized access to the Medicare statistics portal administered by Services Australia in June. The agent read both public and non-public files. The Australian government is investigating the incident.
