Al-Sharaa at UN: Golan Heights will remain Syrian

Syrian president Ahmed al-Sharaa assured the UN forum that the Golan Heights will remain part of Syria. The day before, at an Atlantic Council panel, he said he directly told Donald Trump that he has no right to recognize Israeli sovereignty over the territory. He joked suggesting Trump give New Jersey to Israel instead of the Golan.
