OSW expert: Putin pays for war by squeezing citizens and firms
Iwona Wiśniewska from the Center for Eastern Studies explained in "Żeby wiedzieć" how Russia's economy finances the war of attrition: enormous front costs are shifted onto citizens and the private sector. The expert exposed the mechanisms of Kremlin propaganda masking the economic toll of the conflict. She noted Russia's economy faces mounting pressure, though Moscow is willing to pay any price to continue the war.
