OSCE not invited to monitor U.S. congressional elections

Observers from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe were not invited to monitor November's congressional elections in the United States. The OSCE assessed this as inconsistent with commitments made by all member organizations, including the USA. The organization called the decision a departure from established practice in democratic election oversight.
