Ofcom opens investigation into Pornhub over age verification procedures
British regulator Ofcom has launched proceedings against Pornhub, suspecting the platform failed to conduct sufficient analysis and testing of its new age verification procedure. Since May, the platform has based verification on signals from Apple. The regulator is concerned the system may not be effective enough in protecting minors.
