ZUS will pay widows and widowers several hundred zloty more from 2027
From January 1, 2027, the rules for calculating so-called widow's pension will change. Beneficiaries will receive one benefit in full and 25 percent of the second, instead of the current 15 percent. The change follows an already-binding law and requires no new legislation. For many widows and widowers, this means a monthly increase of several hundred zloty gross—the exact amount depends on benefit levels and the statutory limit.
