China targets fraud centers in Myanmar, annual losses reach 10 billion dollars

China has taken action against fraud centers operating in neighboring Myanmar that, according to US authorities, defraud American citizens of nearly 10 billion dollars yearly. Victims also include Europeans, Britons, and Chinese citizens. Human rights organizations warn that workers at these centers are often trafficking victims—forced to work as enslaved people.
