USA to build two military bases in Greenland under Denmark agreement

The United States, Denmark and Greenland signed a defense agreement on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly under which the USA will construct two military bases in Greenland. The agreement also confirms Denmark's sovereignty over the semi-autonomous Arctic territory. It marks a significant shift after months when Trump suggested the possibility of acquiring the island.
