USA to expand Pituffik Space Base on Greenland under Denmark agreement

The United States and Denmark have signed an agreement allowing the USA to expand Pituffik Space Base on Greenland. The facility provides critical early warning, situational awareness and satellite communications capabilities in the Far North. The deal strengthens US military presence in the strategically important Arctic region.
