Men printed counterfeit 100-zloty notes: caught trying to spend them in shop
Two men from the Chojnice and Przechlewo areas were arrested after a store clerk recognized a fake 100 zloty banknote. The 35-year-old attempted to flee but was stopped by police officers on recreational leave in Charzykowy. In the 41-year-old's rented apartment, forged banknotes worth over 9,000 zloty were found along with printers and computers used to produce them. At least 30 counterfeit 100-zloty notes entered circulation; both men face up to 25 years in prison.
