Blood test detects signals of 17 cancer types: study of over 35,000 people
A large study involving over 35,000 people showed that a blood test designed for multi-organ cancer detection effectively identifies signals indicating 17 cancer types, including ovarian, lung, breast and colorectal cancer. Many of these cancers currently lack routine screening tests, making this new tool able to fill an important diagnostic gap. The test allows detection of cancer in people without symptoms, before the disease advances.
