Government adopts health package: doctor earnings capped at 76,800 zloty monthly
The Council of Ministers approved five draft laws from the Ministry of Health on September 22, governing the rules for hiring and compensating medical personnel. The maximum hourly rate for civil-law contracts will be 240 zloty gross (1/20 of minimum wage), equalling a monthly cap of approximately 76,800 zloty gross. From 2027, the rate will increase to 247.50 zloty gross per hour. The rules will cover doctors, nurses, paramedics and physiotherapists, limiting multiple employment funded with public money.
