Stanford scientists transplant human nerve tissue into mouse brains

Researchers at Stanford University grew large fragments of human nerve tissue in mouse brains, which after three months filled nearly the entire space designated for mouse cortex. It is the most advanced experiment of its kind to date. Scientists are raising questions about the ethical boundaries of such research.
