BepiColombo probe reaches Mercury after 8 years of travel

After 8 years of flight, the BepiColombo probe reached Mercury and began preparations to enter orbit. Before the two orbiters begin joint studies of the planet, thousands of correction maneuvers await them. The mission is to provide new data about the smallest planet in the Solar System.
