Conflicts of interest in IPCC: experts' ties to Saudi Aramco
An investigation by the Guardian has revealed potential conflicts of interest among experts working on the next Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report. Of 223 lead authors in the section on emissions reduction, 20 have serious conflicts of interest, with over half linked to Saudi institutions — including two Saudi Aramco employees. Critics fear ties to the oil industry may influence the report's conclusions.
