Recorded motorcyclist attempted to bribe police near Wrocław
At the end of August in Długołęka near Wrocław, traffic police stopped a 69-year-old motorcyclist traveling 75 km/h in a 50 km/h zone and issued a 300 złoty fine and 5 penalty points. The man pulled 200 złoty from his wallet and offered it to the officers in exchange for dropping the matter – despite knowing he was being recorded. Police arrested him and secured the banknote as evidence. Active corruption carries a sentence of 1 to 10 years in prison.
