Europe faces jet fuel shortage of 510,000 barrels per day
Europe could see a jet fuel deficit of around 510,000 barrels per day in the final quarter, estimates Energy Aspects. Stockpiles at the key Amsterdam–Rotterdam–Antwerpia hub fell by the week of September 10 to 454,000 tonnes, the lowest level in seven years. By comparison, the USA expects a slight surplus of 18,000 barrels per day, while Asia-Pacific expects 419,000. The shortfall risks raising ticket prices and a new wave of inflation felt by airline passengers.
