Google to fund 96 MW expansion of two nuclear plants for AI data centers

Alphabet, Google's parent company, will finance increased power production at two nuclear plants operated by Southern Co. The investment will add around 96 megawatts of new capacity to power data centers serving artificial intelligence systems. Expansion costs will not be passed on to regular electricity consumers.
