NIO ES8 in Norwegian mine still connected to Chinese servers

Researchers drove the electric SUV NIO ES8 deep into an underground mine in Norway to cut the car off from external signals. Nevertheless, the vehicle still attempted to establish connections with servers – most of them located in China. The test revealed that Chinese electric cars maintain constant connectivity with home infrastructure even in extreme conditions.
