Germany won't pay compensation to Polish WWII occupation victims due to budget constraints

Germany has not allocated funds in next year's budget for a "humanitarian gesture" toward surviving Polish victims of World War II occupation. Around 10,000 of these individuals die each year. The chances for any compensation for survivors diminish sharply with each passing year.
