Electric blankets and heating pads recalled after hundreds of burn reports

A manufacturer announced a recall of electric blankets and heating pads after receiving 577 reports of products smoking, melting or catching fire. The reports include dozens of cases of burns to users. Consumers with these products should immediately stop using them.
