Latvia scrambled NATO fighters at border with Belarus

Latvian armed forces issued a warning of an air threat near Krāslava at the Belarus border and scrambled fighters from the NATO Baltic Air Policing mission. The alert occurred at the same time as similar actions by Poland's military aviation in response to Russian attacks on Ukraine. Both incidents are directly linked to Russia's ongoing strikes on Ukraine.
