Journalists reveal: U.S. deported 25,000 to countries with no ties to them
Journalists revealed that the Trump administration sent at least 25,000 people to countries with which they had no connections: Chinese and Cameroonian refugees went to Panama, Cubans to Equatorial Guinea, and an Iranian to the Central African Republic. A refugee resettlement program operating for decades has been transformed into a deportation machine. Deported people often speak neither the language nor know the culture of the country to which they are sent.
