ECB launches Pontes platform for tokenized asset settlements

The European Central Bank has deployed the Pontes platform, which links DLT-based market infrastructure with the ECB's central bank money payment system. The platform is used for wholesale settlement of tokenized assets and operates separately from the retail digital euro pilot planned for 2027.
