30-year-old remanded in custody for ramming police car with drugs
A 30-year-old failed to stop for a traffic check and attempted to ram a police officer getting out of a patrol car — the officer was struck by the Volvo's door as it hit the vehicle's side. After a chase of less than two kilometers, the man was detained. Police found large quantities of drugs in the car. The court ordered three months of pre-trial detention; he faces up to 10 years in prison.
