Senators want to build ski slopes against mountain dwellers' wishes: "snow law" bill

A Senate bill modeled on the Alpine "snow law" would allow a mayor to restrict property rights for up to 30 years when 75 percent of landowners consent to a ski slope project. Mountain residents of Podhale are protesting, calling it an assault on their land. The Justice Ministry has also raised serious objections to the bill.
