Trump: USA have permanent control over Greenland's security

Donald Trump announced that the United States has reached an agreement with the Kingdom of Denmark and Greenland. He stated the deal gives the USA "permanent control over security and all other matters concerning Greenland." Greenland has maintained for months it is not for sale, and the European Union earlier this year criticized Trump for seeking to take over the island.
