NHS: 20 women had unnecessary breast removals during cancer treatment
Twenty women underwent unnecessary mastectomies in the breast oncology unit of County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust in northeastern England. The trust told BBC that these women are part of a larger group of hundreds of patients harmed during treatment at this facility. The matter concerns errors made within the NHS public health service.
