Team of 37,000 AI agents discovers promising lung cancer drug

Scientists created a "virtual biotech" comprising up to 37,000 artificial intelligence agents overseen by a chief AI scientist. The system independently discovered a promising compound that may be a lung cancer drug. Results were published September 17 in Nature.
