Muonium will test whether gravity acts the same on antimatter
Scientists from ETH Zurich and the Paul Scherrer Institute, led by Jesse Zhang and Anna Soter, created a beam of muonium, an exotic atom containing a second-generation antiparticle. The experiment will study the free fall of muonium to test whether gravity acts on this matter the same way as on ordinary atoms. The results could challenge or confirm predictions of Einstein's general theory of relativity.
