Sonderaktion Krakau: how Germany imprisoned over 100 Jagiellonian University professors

On November 6, 1939, Germany lured over one hundred Krakow scholars to a hall in Collegium Novum under the pretext of a lecture on university operations. The gathering proved to be a carefully laid trap — all present were arrested as part of Sonderaktion Krakau. The goal was the wholesale destruction of Krakow's intellectual elite.
