ISW: North Korea may replace some Russian forces in Sumy region
Analysts at the U.S. Institute for the Study of War (ISW) determined that North Korea may take over part of Russian forces' tasks in Ukraine's Sumy region. According to ISW, this would represent a dramatic escalation of Pyongyang's involvement in the war, as North Korean soldiers have so far operated only behind Russian units. The plan envisions closer engagement of the ally in direct combat operations.
