83-year-old hits woman at crosswalk in Chojnice; 57-year-old dies

On Wednesday, September 16, around 1:30 p.m. on Młodzieżowa Street in Chojnice, an 83-year-old Volkswagen driver failed to yield right of way to a 57-year-old pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. The woman died despite resuscitation efforts at the scene. The driver was sober. Police, under the prosecutor's supervision, are securing evidence and determining the circumstances of the accident.
