Polish tourist attractions plagued by staff ignorant of local history
Workers at many Polish museums, castles and churches cannot answer tourists' questions about the sites. A dozen or so years ago, staff knew the history and eagerly shared facts; today the answer increasingly is "I don't know, I have no idea." The problem affects both young and older employees.
