Webb telescope detects changes in Chariklo's rings between Saturn and Uranus

The Webb telescope (JWST) observed the rings of the centaur Chariklo in 2022 and compared them with data from the previous decade — they were clearly different. Chariklo, an object about 400 km in diameter orbiting between Saturn and Uranus, was the first small Solar System body where rings were discovered, in 2013. The research was published on 9 September in Science Advances.
