AI resolves moral dilemmas more decisively than humans, study shows
Researchers from Mozilla AI and Pennsylvania State University examined how large language models make moral decisions. In the experiment, LLMs were given classic ethical dilemmas, such as deciding which of two patients should receive the only available kidney. AI resolved such dilemmas far more decisively than humans, who more often remained undecided. The study aimed to measure how much AI moral judgments diverge from human ones and to identify ways to reduce these differences.
