European Parliament stripped immunity from MEP Grzegorz Braun
The European Parliament in Strasbourg stripped immunity from MEP Grzegorz Braun over allegations of Holocaust denial. The motion was submitted to Parliament in February 2026 by the prosecutor general, acting on a request from the Kraków branch of the National Institute of Remembrance. During a public debate in Warsaw in September 2025, broadcast online, Braun allegedly denied crimes of genocide committed at Auschwitz-Birkenau, including the extermination of Jews in gas chambers.
