Budget deficit after August: 151 billion zloty, over half annual limit

After eight months, Poland's budget deficit exceeded 151 billion zloty, representing more than half the annual limit. Revenues are rising mainly due to strong CIT intake, while VAT revenues are growing much more slowly. Public spending is rising more slowly than expected, but this is not the result of deliberate savings – the deficit is nonetheless widening month after month.
