Google invests $15 billion in Finland, commits to nuclear power until 2050

Alphabet announced a record $15 billion investment in Finland — Google's largest European market venture to date. The project includes three new data centers and expansion of one existing facility. The Loviisa nuclear plant will supply up to 50% of energy under a contract running through 2050; the project is expected to create about 37,000 jobs, with construction beginning in 2027.
