Diplodocus bones discovered in Spain: dinosaur reached Europe by land

Paleontologists have for the first time confirmed Diplodocus remains outside the western United States — they were found near the village of El Castellar in eastern Spain. The dinosaur lived there around 150 million years ago and likely reached Europe via a land bridge across the still-widening Atlantic. The discovery was published on 15 September in Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology and provides evidence of dinosaur migration between North America and Europe in the Late Jurassic.
