Lublin region targeted by cargo thieves: losses grow faster than national average
According to the TAPA EMEA intelligence system, Poland ranked 7th in Europe for cargo thefts, with 1232 crimes recorded. In the first half of 2026, the EMEA region saw over 9,200 thefts, averaging more than 50 daily; in June alone losses exceeded 11.4 million euro, with the average value of a stolen shipment at over 261,000 zloty. Lublin region is among the most vulnerable areas in the country, and experts stress the actual scale is much larger since most companies settle claims through insurance.
