Where to dispose of spice sachets? Material determines the bin
An empty sachet of pepper, paprika or herbs looks like paper waste, but its material is key – foil and multi-layer packages go into the yellow bin for plastic and metals, not the blue bin for paper. Sorting errors are common because spice sachets are often grouped with paper, though their surface only resembles paper. What matters is checking whether the sachet is entirely paper or contains a foil layer.
