US envoy John Coale meets with Lukashenko on political prisoners

Special envoy of the US president John Coale arrived in Minsk on Tuesday for direct talks with Aleksandr Lukashenko. According to Reuters, the purpose of the visit is to secure the release of more political prisoners. Coale already signaled in spring his intention to free hundreds of opposition figures detained by the Belarusian regime.
