Government reintroduces 60% tax on fuel company profits

The windfall tax bill on fuel companies returned to government discussion on Tuesday — a second attempt after President Karol Nawrocki blocked the legislation. The new rate is 60% on excess profits of fuel corporations. The government expects to increase budget revenues at the expense of the fuel sector.
