Tuvalu recreates itself in the metaverse as the ocean swallows the islands

Tuvalu, a Pacific island nation, is creating a digital copy of its territory in the metaverse in case of total flooding from rising sea levels. The project aims to preserve Tuvaluan culture, history and national identity even if the physical land becomes uninhabitable.
