"Doctor" scam fraudster arrested in Kraśnik: seniors lost 230,000 zlotys
In early September in Kraśnik county, several seniors fell victim to the "doctor" scam — perpetrators posed as medical professionals and demanded money for vaccination or treatment of relatives. Three people lost over 230,000 zlotys combined. Detectives from Kraśnik apprehended a 49-year-old money collector during an attempt to pick up another envelope with funds; the man was remanded in custody for 3 months and faces up to 8 years in prison.
