Enzyme PLA2G2D in lymph nodes blocks the body's fight against cancer

Scientists discovered that a specific population of macrophages with high levels of the enzyme PLA2G2D in lymph nodes draining fluid from tumors is associated with poor prognosis in cancer patients. Blocking PLA2G2D activity in mouse models improved anti-tumor immunity. Results were published in "Nature".
