UOKiK fines Biedronka 570 mln zł for driver cartel

The UOKiK chief fined Biedronka's owner, Jeronimo Martins Polska, 525 mln zł, and transport companies working with the retailer a combined total of over 570 mln zł. The authority found that Biedronka coordinated an agreement among carriers who decided not to poach each other's drivers, restricting labor market competition. This is among the largest penalties ever imposed by UOKiK.
