Maria Skłodowska-Curie may appear on the 20 euro banknote

The European Central Bank is conducting public consultations on a new series of euro banknotes. The image of Maria Skłodowska-Curie has appeared in designs for the 20 euro banknote in five variants dedicated to European culture. Europeans can participate in an online survey and evaluate the proposals until 21 September 2026.
